Lord Carey, former Archbishop of Canterbury, describes the judgement against Bishop Bell akin to a “kangaroo court”.
I’d say it was more akin to “a character assassination bordering on a crucifixion by unknown ecclesiastical accusers”.
‘Kafkaesque’ doesn’t even come close. We are witnessing a miscarriage of justice which is bringing disgrace to the Church of England.
It is for Justin Welby, the present Archbishop of Canterbury, to right this wrong.
